As a multi-media artist and painter, my journey has been deeply rooted in tradition and exploration. I studied at the Museum School of Fine Arts at Tufts University and the New York Studio School, where I immersed myself in the foundations of fine art.
My passion for classical techniques led me to Europe, where I spent time in Paris, London, and Rome, meticulously copying the works of the old masters. I believed that to become a skilled painter, I needed to embrace a stoic, old-school approach, honing my ability to draw and understand the essence of these timeless works. And so, I did.
My early work as a realist painter was steeped in symbolism, primarily through still life compositions. Each object in my paintings served as a metaphor, reflecting personal narratives and life experiences.
Over time, my practice evolved, and I began exploring abstract collage painting. While living in New York City, I created a series titled Cubism for Girls, which merged cubistic spatial elements with female iconography. These works featured cut-out images from Architectural Digest, Vogue, and cooking magazines, combined with bold, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant painting techniques.
For over a decade, I stepped away from consistent painting to pursue involvement in a startup. However, my return to art marked a reinvention of my creative voice. I began working on a series called Vision Board Goddesses, celebrating themes of abundance, earthly power, and mystical wisdom through magical female figures. These pieces are deeply personal and aim to inspire empowerment and connection.
In recent years, my work has become increasingly focused on creating meaningful, custom pieces as gifts. Many of my recent artworks have been crafted for life’s milestones—newborns, weddings, and birthdays—infusing each piece with intention and love. My art continues to evolve, blending symbolism, storytelling, and a touch of magic to create works that resonate on both personal and universal levels.
